- Does this product contain sucralose?
- All our Pre-Kaged flavors share a consistent approach when it comes to flavor profiles and the blend of sweeteners, which includes stevia and sucralose. As you can probably guess, Pre-Kaged packs a punch with essential ingredients in effective amounts. This poses a real challenge in masking the inherent bitterness of these raw ingredients while delivering a delicious product.
- Hi. I thought the product was supposed to be all natural, but I saw a warning that it contained a substance prohibited by California's Proposition 65, Can you specify what kind of prohibited items? What is the content per spoonful? Is it within a safe range?
- The Prop 65 Warning is a California regulation. It sets very strict limits for certain chemicals, far stricter than national FDA standards. These limits are based on safety margins, requiring a warning if exposure exceeds 1/1,000 of a "no observable effect level" (NOEL). For example, the lead warning level is set at 0.5 micrograms, which is incredibly tiny (one millionth of a gram). Many companies can't print separate labels for California, so you'll often see Prop 65 warnings all over in the state. It's all about safety compliance! ⚠️🌟

- Hello there! t isn't always possible to drill down to the level of individual ingredient contributions, since the Prop 65 limit is based on the total exposure per serving of the finished product. As you know, Pre-Kaged has a very large serving size compared to other pre-workouts. As with so many industries, the dietary supplement industry has been significantly disrupted during the Covid Era, leading to unprecedented disruptions in the usual supply chain. Whenever testing shows the possibility that some lots may test above the California Prop 65 limit, Kaged opts to add the Warning label.
- Can I take Pre-Kaged before I run and then also before I work out later in the day?
- Hello! You'll just want to monitor the total caffeine content and the timing relative to sleep. So original Pre-Kaged delivers 274 mg of caffeine per serving, so for most people, 2 servings in a single day would be too much caffeine for comfort. Even if you have a high tolerance for caffeine, the other thing to be mindful of is not taking a serving within 5-6 hours before bed (or your sleep may be disrupted). Another option would be to have the original Pre-Kaged before you run and then a serving of Non-Stimulant Pre-Kaged later in the day before you work out.
