Vitamin D3 + K2

Yes. Both are cholecalciferol, the same molecule your skin makes from sunlight. The difference is the source material, not the nutrient. Ours is extracted from a natural, plant-based oil present in lichen.

D3 increases how much calcium your body absorbs from food. K2 activates the proteins that direct that calcium into bone tissue. They work together to make sure the calcium you absorb ends up in your skeleton rather than your soft tissue. D3 handles uptake while K2 handles placement.

MenaQ7® is a patented form of vitamin K2 as MK-7, produced through natural fermentation. We use it because the form determines how much your body actually absorbs. MenaQ7® is highly bioavailable and stays in circulation significantly longer than MK-4, so a single daily dose keeps working between servings.

Take it in the morning with a meal containing dietary fat, such as eggs, avocado, peanut butter, or Kaged Omega-3. Consistency matters more than timing. You can also take it in the evening or any other time of day.

Yes. D3 and K2 are fat-soluble, which means absorption improves considerably when you take them with a meal containing fat. Taking them on an empty stomach reduces how much your body can take up.

Low vitamin D usually has no obvious symptoms, which is why it goes unnoticed. A serum 25(OH)D blood test from your physician is the only way to know your level.

It depends on your current level, your sun exposure, and your body weight. The RDA for adults is 600 to 800 IU, though that figure reflects the minimum needed to prevent deficiency rather than an optimal intake. Many adults supplement at higher doses, and we include 5,000 IU to reflect the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency. Talk to your physician about the right amount for you, especially if you have not had your levels tested.

Serum vitamin D levels typically rise over four to eight weeks of consistent daily intake before reaching a steady state. This is not a supplement you feel. It's one you take daily and verify with bloodwork.
