Shattered Plateau Buster:Supplement Overview

You can train without supplements, but why would you when they only support your gains and set you up for success? Here are the Kaged® supplements I recommend that you take to support growth and recovery while you’re following Shattered! That’s essential for improving your weakest body part.

PRE-KAGED®

I like to take this pre-workout product about 30 minutes before each weight-training workout. PRE-KAGED® supports heightened mental focus and provides your body with ingredients that help stimulate better performance. IN-KAGED®

This product is designed to be taken during your workouts. It helps prolong your energy through to the very last rep. It does so with the quality ingredients it contains, including fermented BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine), pure L-Citrulline, CarnoSyn® beta-alanine and coconut water among others. Add 2 scoops of Citrulline for enhanced nitric oxide production.

RE-KAGED®

Immediately after each workout you’ll take RE-KAGED® to get fast-digesting protein into your system to help kickstart the recovery process to rebuild muscle. RE-KAGED contains ProHydrolase, a digestive enzyme matrix that rapidly breaks down the whey protein isolate into highly bioavailable micro fractions, allowing your body more easily absorb the protein and take full advantage of the available essential amino acids.. I like to add another scoop of Creatine HCl to my RE-KAGED.

MICROPURE® WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE

Whey is fast-digesting form of milk protein, and it’s one of the best ways to help protect against muscle-breakdown (catabolism). You can get in this product at any time of day when you need more protein, including upon rising, or before or after workouts. It’s great to boost consumption of fast-digesting protein.

KASEIN®

On my program, you’ll also take a serving of Kasein® each night before bed to feed your muscles with a steady stream of amino acids while you sleep. Casein is a slow-digesting form of protein that helps prevent muscle breakdown (catabolism) while you sleep and are not consuming protein.

FERMENTED BCAAs

Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) include leucine, isoleucine and valine. This group of amino acids is unique in its ability to support muscle building while reducing catabolism (muscle-breakdown) from intense training. Because your body cannot make BCAAs, you need to get them from your food and supplements, and you have a much greater demand for them when you’re training with intensity. Kaged Fermented BCAAs deliver a scientifically designed 2:1:1 ratio.

FERMENTED GLUTAMINE

Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the human body, and it can be synthesized from other amino acids. When your body has a greater need for glutamine, such as when you’re on an intense training program, it may break down muscle tissue for this purpose. Supplementing fermented Glutamine helps reduce muscle breakdown and encourages protein synthesis.

HYDRA-CHARGE®

CREATINE HCl

Creatine is an amino acid compound that provides multiple training advantages. Primarily, it helps your body generate adenosine triphosphate (ATP) for better workouts. It also helps draw water into muscle cells for enhanced cellular volume. I add a dose of Creatine HCl before and after workouts. This Kaged product is more soluble you’re your run-of-the-mill creatine monohydrate, and it helps re-load your muscles for better workouts in the coming days.

PURE CITRULLINE

This product contains pure citrulline, an amino acid that helps your body increase production of arginine (another amino acid) that ultimately increases nitric oxide (NO) production. The last is a gas molecule that promotes vasodilation (expanse of your veins), promoting normal delivery of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the muscles you’re training. I take Pure Citrulline before and during workouts.

WATER

While it should go without saying, water is also crucial to a sound training, nutrition and supplement program. But it is an essential nutrient we tend to forget. Keeping your body hydrated is absolutely crucial to building muscle, recovery and guaranteeing optimized performance in every workout. You should target getting in about 1 gallon of water per day, which also includes the water you add to the Kaged products mentioned above.
