I have followed Kris Gethin for about 2 1/2 years now and loved the programs that he had to offer, but I felt that I needed to push myself to the limit when it came to fat loss. When I started lifting years ago I focused on adding muscle mass, which is great, but cutting fat properly has always been a struggle for me. The Fat Loss Trainer was more focused on discipline and maintaining lower body fat while being on a strict diet, which is what I wanted to improve on.
I chose the Project Inferno Trainer because it focused on cutting fat, which was an area of weakness for me. Over the years I became comfortable with my physique but getting that "washboard" stomach while maintaining a "real diet" is what I was excited about. I was looking forward to pushing not only myself but my body to the limits.
I took just about everything that was recommended for the trainer: PurCaf, Clean Burn, Hydra- Charge, Amino Synergy, Micropure Whey Protein Isolate, PRE-KAGED, Citrulline, IN-KAGED, Glutamine, and Kasein.
PRE-KAGED. There was one day that I ran out and decided to go to the gym without it. Never again! When I tell you it's a NIGHT and DAY difference, it really is! PRE-KAGED gives me the extra energy that I need before starting my workout and keeps me focused throughout the whole session. I've tried other popular brands before, but there's just a lot of caffeine which caused me to feel very tired and sluggish after the first hour or so. Working out early in the morning and consuming PRE-KAGED really helps because I still have a lot of energy to get through the rest of my day without feeling like I'm going to crash.

The best advice I received was not t perform heavy compound days back to back. Separating your days gives you more time to recover and prevents you from causing additional stress to the nervous system. I've made the mistake multiple times in the past of doing a heavy leg day then a back day the following day, so for me that was my aha moment.
The last 2 weeks of cardio was the most challenging for me. Having a full-time job and trying to work on other personal goals became a little harder to balance. There were days where I would get home late from work, do cardio, sleep, and wake right back up to do cardio again. It felt like I was in a time loop but it's all mental, and I just had to push through it.
Make sure that you are mentally and physically ready for this journey. When you feel like you're ready to give up, remember why you’re doing the program. Do this for yourself and no one else. I'd also suggest that you prepare a schedule before you start to know what time you need to get up, all the way to your last meal. I know a lot of people will say that they don't have enough time, but you have to make the time. If that means that you have to get up by 5:30 a.m. like I did, start adjusting your body to that time a few days in advance if you really want this transformation.

My main roadblock had to be balancing my job and diet. Having to eat multiple times throughout the day wasn't easy for the first week or so. I had to adjust the time I woke up several times in order to spread the meals out where I was able to step off of the sales floor and eat my meals. Having so many positive people in my inner circle helped me overcome my cravings for sure. They would tell me, "Nah, bro, you know you can't have that so don't order/eat it." My friends understood that this trainer was going to take up a lot of time so social gatherings weren’t a huge issue for me. I also chose to wake up earlier so that I'd have more of my day to get errands done and hang out with friends. Last but not least, I would get to the gym early so I wouldn't have to worry about people texting on the phone while they were on the machine that I needed. I like to get in and get out.
I completed the 8-Week Muscle-Building Trainer last year and was really happy with the results that I got. Some of the days were more intense than others but I didn't expect anything less than that once I saw the overview video. Completing the 8-week program gave me a solid foundation for a clean diet and workout regimen.
