I wasn’t happy with the way I looked and I wanted to challenge myself. So competing against other contestants was a positive driving force.
When I tried to run 3 miles and was extremely exhausted afterward. I knew I needed to change my training regimen and increase my cardio tremendously.
I chose Project Inferno because I have been wanting to step back out on a stage again and get back into competing. I wanted to do a program that would push me and hopefully allow me to get back to being close to stage ready. After watching the Program Overview, I was so excited to start the challenge and give it my all.
I used the following Kaged Supplements during the program:
My favorite Kaged Muscle supplement is Hydra-Charge. It tastes so good and allows me to stay completely hydrated throughout the day.
Meal 1: 6 eggs and a muffin
Meal 2: Protein shake and oatmeal
Meal 3: 6 oz lean ground turkey with broccoli and wild rice
Meal 4: 6 oz lean ground turkey with broccoli
Meal 5: Kasein
“Sacrifice without regret” and to keep the motions slow and deliberate. Focus on the stretch and contraction.
Sticking with the cardio regimen twice a day was pretty challenging. With my job, sometimes I end up having to work a 16-hour shift. So to get two cardio sessions in with a small amount of sleep was challenging. But the military taught me to adapt and overcome obstacles that pop up in life so I made it work.
Give it your all. Always strive to be the best that you can be and never settle to be mediocre. Anything is possible. If you want it bad enough you will find a way to make it happen.
My military mindset from when I was in the Marines to just keep pushing myself every day, to keep going, and to finish the challenge strong helped out. Family and friends were big supporters for me to keep going, too.
I have done Kris Gethin’s 8-Week Hardcore Trainer, 8-Week Muscle-Building Trainer, and the 4Weeks2Shred program.
